Support Lifecycle

Gradle follows Semantic Versioning.

End-of-life Policy

Gradle’s end-of-life policy:

  • The previous major version enters maintenance only: it receives critical bug fixes and security fixes, but nothing else.
  • The major version before that is fully end-of-life: that release line receives no further fixes at all.

Security Subscription

Gradle provides commercial security support through its Gradle Security Subscription, offering prioritized fixes under an SLA, advance confidential notification of newly discovered vulnerabilities, and extended security maintenance. Extended maintenance covers high-severity and critical (CVSS ≥ 7) fixes for the latest minor release of the most recent end-of-life major version, as well as for minor releases of the last two major versions that were released within the last 12 months.
